The indicators presented provide a summary of greenhouse gas emissions as they are accumulated from simulations by different parts of IMAGE 2.2 (TIMER energy-industry emissions model, land-use emissions model and terrestrial carbon model). The total emissions, as applied in the atmospheric chemistry model to simulate the built-up of the different gases in the atmosphere, are accumulated from 1970 onwards. Cumulative emissions of CO2, CH4, N2O and the CO2 equivalent emissions, can be visualized.

These variables show the overall cumulative emissions since 1970 as simulated for four source categories in different parts of IMAGE 2.2:

3. Emissions from land use and natural sources;
